About Us

Welcome! Making The Pointe Ballet Academy is a place where dreams can come true. It has been my dream to give back to the community and to show children that they can pursue their dreams as artists. Speaking for myself, being a dancer has given me more than I could have imagined. At Making The Pointe we will give the children more than they can imagine and will help build the “self” in every child. (Self-esteem, self-confidence, self– appreciation, etc.)

I invite you to consider Making The Pointe as a home base for your child’s future.  Making The Pointe will help and guide them to the deepest creativity within themselves. It is a place where new faces and friendships will develop. Learning to work with each other will enhance the social skills.

Making The Pointe will have the best professional staff, making sure the education your child is getting is the best.  I am reminded when I see more young people pursuing dance. How much they look upon their teachers as role models. Those moments when we reach out and touch each other through art have always been treasured ones in the eyes of children.  Professional dance forms expand our capacity for self-expression and for communication and all are precious resources as we look for ways to build bridges between people and among cultures.

Making The Pointe has made a sound investment back into the community by reaching out to diverse audiences through unique forms of outreach. These programs of outreach and education provide different ways presenting the art of ballet to children and adults who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience art.

Looking toward the future of dance and to have a committed long-term partnership with its community, Making The Pointe will need financial support with which we can raise up the percentage of public support for the arts.

I look forward to welcoming you to share some of the best of what Making The Pointe and the community creates together.

Thanks,

Founder/Artistic Director

Making The Pointe Ballet Academy offers a new arts education and outreach initiative  throughout the communities in the Bay Area. MTP brings dance to the lives of children and adults throughout the community, because arts education increases creative thinking, problem-solving skills and a love of the arts. The benefits that come with dance education are endless and include self-esteem, self-discipline, cooperation, balance, rhythm and coordination.

Making The Pointe Ballet Academy offers a variety of training programs throughout the year. The school serves the community with classes for pre-primary, primary, beginners to advanced, as well as a pre-professional program for the student aspiring to a professional career in classical dance, a contemporary dance division for the student who enjoys a variety of present-day dance styles and an adult division featuring ballet. The ballet curriculum is firmly rooted in the classical technique and extends its offerings in other dance styles including modern dance, jazz, tap and ethnic. Making The Pointe Ballet Academy's  pre-professional program awards students the opportunity to gather the performing skills necessary for the aspiring dancer.
