?
Ballet
is a complete discipline involving the body, mind and creative
expression of the individual. It is an art form and a discipline where
you can immerse yourself in the beauty of the music and enter another
world for an hour or two.
If you're like the majority of students, you'll probably find that the
physical
benefits gained will quickly become secondary to the sheer beauty and
joy of dance you will undoubtedly experience.
The classes are non-competitive, friendly and a great way to get fit
while learning
something new.
Our adult ballet classes are
specifically designed for those from the age of fifteen onwards, from
absolute beginners through to those who have danced all their lives and
range from beginners level all the way through to elementary and
intermediate. So whether you’re a teenager, grandmother or ex
professional you’ll find a class level to suit you.

Then
our beginner’s classes are perfect for you. Many of the students in
our beginners classes over the years have harbored a secret desire to
'dance' and yet never stepped foot inside a ballet studio. Their ages
range from late teens to mid 60's and the classes concentrate on basic
ballet technique, posture, co-ordination and increasing fitness and
flexibility. Classes commence 45 minutes at the barre, work
up to a further 45 minutes of invigorating centre work
and
with 15 minutes of floor work.
I
HAVEN'T DONE BALLET FOR YEARS!
The
growing popularity of adult ballet classes has seen a 'return' to ballet
for numerous adults following an absence of many years, in fact probably
since childhood. Depending on your level of fitness, age and experience,
you can either start off by taking a few refresher classes in beginners,
or join one of our elementary or intermediate classes. Individualized
attention is given to all students to ensure you find a suitable class
level.
