Community Outreach

Making The Pointe Ballet Academy’s outreach and education program provides meaningful educational experiences that contribute to the cultural development of children lives, especially the under-served, and developing and educating the ballet audience of the future. In long-term relationship that maximizes the inherent benefits of art education through curriculum integration and multi-disciplinary participation. Making The Pointe seeks to engage schools and communities organization the opportunity for students to experience professional ballet is a key component of Making The Pointe Ballet Academy’s outreach program.

Through lecture demonstrations and mini-performances, Making The Pointe Ballet Academy seeks to promote awareness and appreciation of ballet among all ages throughout the communities at large bringing dance education into inner-city schools, providing underprivileged children with the opportunity to learn about all aspects of the art form. The children, taught by Making The Pointe Ballet Academy faculty, learn the basics of ballet.
The benefits of the outreach program extend beyond exposing children to the arts. Quality Dance Education improves learning, specifically math, and develops social skills as well as building self-esteem. The arts also benefit from this outreach program because it brings in new talent that otherwise might never have made its way to the ballet class.
